The guest speaker this month will be Mike Koslosky, Executive Director of the Wilmington Urban Area MPO (WMPO), making a presentation on “Transportation: Charting a Course to the Future of the Wilmington Region.”
 
Mike Kozlosky is a transportation planning leader with more than 24 years of public sector experience advancing collaborative, multimodal, and sustainable transportation solutions.  He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP).  As Executive Director of the Wilmington Urban Area MPO (WMPO), Mike oversees strategic planning, administration, finance, and technical services for the WMPO in one of the state’s fastest-growing regions.

Since joining the WMPO in 2004, Mike has led major initiatives including the development of short and long-range plans, successfully administering transportation funding to enhance regional connectivity, safety, and accessibility.  His leadership has been instrumental in strengthening partnerships with NCDOT, NC State Ports Authority, and local governments.

Mike’s influence extends beyond the local level through his ongoing service on the National Association of MPO’s Technical Committee and his leadership roles as former President and current Treasurer with the North Carolina Association of MPOs.  Recognized as a WilmingtonBiz Top 100 leader, he is known for his strategic mindset, coalition-building approach, and commitment to empowering MPOs.

Registration for the luncheon will be held at the Bluewater Grill in Wrightsville Beachstarting at 11:30 AM.  Attendees will have the option of ordering and paying for beer or cocktails prior to the start of the speaker’s presentation, which will begin at Noon, and lunch will be served at 12:30 PM.  Spouses and other guests are welcome to attend.  The cost of the luncheon will be $30 per person, payable only in cash, and exact change would be appreciated.
