NE, Wilmington, NC 28401 Hosted by Cape Fear Men's Club Please join our members and guests for a fun night out and a great meal. The Cape Fear Men's Club's own "Admiral Ron Henderson" will give an informative power point presentation in the Ward Room of the battleship North Carolina. The history and patriotism of our battleship will come alive. If you have never heard Ron's presentation you're missing out and those that have are wanting to hear it again. Ladies are welcome and will enjoy the presentation as do the men, learning the history and efforts our citizens put forth in those days. Self guided tours are free. Guided tours are available prior to the event, guides charge $12 per person for groups of 6 to 10 and last 90 minutes. Tours can be arranged by sending a message to this invitation. Adult beverages are allowed but not available at the Battleship so it's BYOB & only small coolers are allowed. The Battleship does not set up and tear down tables and seating for any event so able body club members and guests are expected to set and then restore the ward room to the condition it was found. The caterer will need help getting our meal up the ramps also. MENU Diamond catering will serve a tasty meal of tender beef medallions in gravy and chicken breast portions in gravy, garlic mashed potatoes, fresh green beans, pasta marinara, rolls, butter, tea and water. IMPORTANT YOUR DUES DO NOT COVER THE COST OF THIS EVENT. This invitation closes on Friday May 17th and you will not be able to add or subtract your reservation at that time. Larry Schramm High Nooners Luncheon

The Cape Fear Men’s Club has the distinct privilege of hosting at the upcoming May 21 High Nooners luncheon Benjamin R. David, District Attorney for the Sixth District, New Hanover and Pender Counties. Elected to office in 2004, Mr. David is currently completing his sixth and final elected term as District Attorney. The principal duties of his office are first, to advise local law enforcement and second, to prosecute every criminal matter in the territorial jurisdictions of both New Hanover and Pender Counties. Underscoring his 20 years of service is commitment to stopping the revolving door of recidivism and dedication to the belief that crime is best fought by building community. Ben David’s prosecutorial perspective will be of interest to all members, even those residing in Brunswick County where Ben David’s twin brother, Jon David, is the elected District Attorney for District 15. Over the years, the two brothers have worked together closely on issues crossing jurisdictional lines.
The luncheon will be held at the Bluewater Grill in Wrightsville Beach on Tuesday, May 21. Registration begins at 11:30am. The speaking program commences at High Noon. Lunch will be served starting at 12:45pm. Spouses and other guests are welcome. When responding to this invitation, please indicate the full name(s) of your guest(s), if any.
The cost of the luncheon is $28, and payable only in cash: exact change is appreciated. There will be four selections on the menu, to be posted on the final meeting notice.

This meal will be cooked on site so it is fresh, it will take time to cook and serve so be prepared for a relaxed and wonderful meal. Some call this fish the "Alaskan Walleye".

ABOUT US
New Activity Groups are being organized regularly. Many have been formed at the suggestion of new members. Many activities are held during the day, some during evenings and weekends. The Club also organizes special events such as dinner cruises, Sunday brunches, lobster fests, day and overnight trips to historical sites, military bases, etc. Many activities and special events include spouses, significant others and other member-invited guests.

The Cape Fear Men's Club (CFMC) was founded in 2005 to meet the social needs of those men who chose the Wilmington area as their desired community. The CFMC is the best place in the Wilmington area to meet new men who share similar interests.
Current CFMC Activity Groups include Biking, Book Group, Bowling, Bridge, Cigar Group, Cultural Events, Current Events, Financial Investing, Fishing, Golf, Hiking, Kayaking, Live Music, Photography, Poker, Shooting, Tennis, Wine Tasting, etc. Other culinary-related groups include High Nooners (luncheon speakers), Breakfast Bunch, Early Riser Breakfast, Lunch Bunch, and BBB (Beer, Burgers & Buddies). |
Some other CFMC activities, optional for all members, may involve additional costs. Spouses and guests may accompany members for various events and activities, such as the monthly Larry Schramm High Nooners luncheon which includes a speaker's presentation. With more than 30 activities from which to choose, the Cape Fear Men's Club does offer something for everyone.
